S tate and  Stance

Managing personal state, including handling any fear and anxiety, is vital.  There are 10 specific things that we can do to effectively manage our state and to control anxiety.    

The correct stance radiates confidence, authority and power.  It is also a key ingredient in managing our state.

 

P articipation of our audience 

We need to actively engage our audience, and keep them engaged, so that they clearly receive and understand our message. 

There are specific ways to do this and I will show you how.

 

E  ye contact  (where appropriate)

Correct use of eye contact, even with a large audience, quickly builds rapport and trust.

 

V K Id sequencing

People process information by forming internal representations.  These representations may be Auditory, Visual, Kinesthetic (feeling / emotions) and / or by having an Internal discussion with themselves.

Each person forms their internal representations differently.  To ensure that we engage all of our audience, and keep them engaged, it is critical that we deliver our presentation or talk using language and speech patterns, in sequence, which match every person’s mental processing. 

 

K  ey Hand Gestures 

Have you ever been distracted from someone’s words when they use their hands to excess?

Thoughtless use of hands can seriously weaken a presentation whereas specific use of them will significantly strengthen it.

There are 6 powerful, proven basic ways to use our hands when speaking, plus a number of hybrids.

I will show you how, and when, to use hand gestures to maximum effect!

 

U  se of the space / stage

Where is the best place to stand on stage?

Is there more than one - depending on our content and delivery?

When, and how, should we move on stage to add real weight to our message?

When, and where, is it best to sit down during a presentation?

The answers to these questions are vital to speaking with compelling authority and power. We will explore them together.

 

P  utting it all together and  Practice

Throughout our day together you will practise, practise and practise, with other attendees, seamlessly putting all this together and receive laser feedback and top quality coaching.
